Oh. Wait. You’re serious? Like very, very serious? Like Disney Princesses face Rape and Murder kind of serious?
Sigh. My first taste of this was Dadaism, which I thought was playful and fun when I first read about it as a wee lass. Turns out, it’s not. It’s super cereal.
Eh. The photographer is a kid still in art school. Good on her for figuring out how to manipulate her milieu into giving her asspats. Which a mature her can convert into genuinely good art, I hope. Maybe even something playful and fun.

She should just get the un-bowdlerized versions of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, or 1000 and 1 Arabian Nights, rather than beating up on creepy old Walt.
Plenty of unhappy subject matter to express as art. But that would imply reading, rather than watching movies I suppose.

Not to be too blunt, but isn’t rape, brutality or sex trafficking a reflection on the evil nature of the perpetrators rather than the purity of the princess?
Or does the artist feel such a princess is now impure and defiled thereby carrying on the standard established by the patriarchy.

The “world problems” set uses Bad Stuff Happening To Women. Very creepy.
But she has lots of other photos; the Family and Friends set includes a portrait of a cute wittle girl.

I’ve been watching this youtube. We joke about Olivia De Havilland, but she took a very principled anti communist stand when it was very unpopular in Hwd. I just checked her wiki page and it is reflected in there, so I guess I am the last to know. 🙂

In defense, most Disney princesses face murder, druggings and kidnappings while a case could be made that a forced marriage is rape, so they’re just realistic.
