Husband and I spent 20+ years in the Midwest and 2 years in Dallas. Thunderstorms were just a part of Spring. Then we moved to the northeast. Now we’re almost 15 years between Upstate NY and Boston. Thunder and lightning is so rare up here it surprises us when it happens.
Oh! Did I mention that I have a scar on my leg from the tornado that destroyed my house (with me in it) during one of those spring thunderstorms?
