And you thought OUR lot were pinko stooges

flag

You know, I try to stay out of British politics. I still own property, pay taxes and vote in the States. I got enough to get wadded up about with the politics I know. Plus, nobody likes a bitchy immigrant. But Uncle B sent me this link and I’m just…stonked.

Just after WWII, Harry Pollitt — leader of the Communist Party in Britain — gave a talk at Cambridge and told a bunch of bright young lefties don’t join our party. Join the establishment and work from within. And they did. The Communist Party withered away in Britain, and the USSR issued a postage a stamp and named a battleship after Pollitt when he died. Because he did Communism such a service.

The handwritten diary of the Soviet’s point man in the West turned up in the US Archives and has recently been translated. The man, Anatoly Chernyaev, is still alive and tickled pink that his life’s work is being recognized. It details how close the relationship was between Labour, trade unions and the Soviets. Right from the start (or almost the start — the Labour Party was founded in 1900).

Some of these guys were paid agents of the Soviet Union, actively working with Moscow to bring down Thatcher. Why that hasn’t resulted in charges can only be because most of the old coots are dead. And Labour is still in power.

It’s a long but a fascinating read, if you’re the sort of person who wakes up in a cold sweat dreaming of Antonio Gramsci.

The UK Spectator broke the story, but the only place you can get it for free is the Daily Mail. In the darker phase of my paranoias, I often think They let the embarrassing stories go out in the Mail because it’s such a trashy, low-rent rag.

The ultra-Left’s infiltration of the British ‘establishment’ has been plain since WWII – notably in education, where the principles of Ignatius Loyola were fulfilled way beyond his requirement of a mere seven years for thorough indoctrination.

Certainly, universities in the UK were an early target and their legions of plague-carrying zombies have poured forth to man most of the other professions, with predictable (and very observable) consequences

But that much wasn’t news. Nor was the revelation that trade unionists like the revolting Jack Jones (lauded in obituaries by the Leftist BBC and its cronies) were paid KGB assets. Nor, even, was it particularly startling to read that earlier Labour MPs had been up to their fetid armpits in conspiracies with the Soviets.

What was news, however, was how contemporary the rot has run. The former Labour leader, Neil Kinnock (who, with his vile wife, milked the EU for millions as an unelected commissar) is still very active in UK politics and is fondly mentioned in dispatches from Dzerzhinsky Square. But wait – there’s more. That roundly ridiculed ratbag of current Labour politics, the Minister For Being a Screeching Harpy, Hariett Harman, gets a namecheck. As does our current ‘Dear Leader’ – the shambling golem himself, Gordon Brown.

And what price the student communists like Mandelson? Or the Millibands, with their openly Communist academic father?

These aren’t grainy Tri-X shadows from the 1960s – they are current, serving, ministers.

While the source of this madness might have withered and died, its seeds have found fertile ground and have taken root.

You might have heard wingnut Brits speak of ‘Stasi Britain’? They aren’t telling it even half as bad as it has become under this shower of Marxist shits. God help us, even the EU is peering down its long nose at our illiberality in the area of data protection – and that from people who have, for the most part, only a passing and recent acquaintance with even the coat-tails of democracy.

We should be embarking on treason trials in this country but don’t hold your breath. There’s a bit of a queue and those wearing the wigs are in it up to their gavels.

And you lot in the rebel colonies? A lot smarter than we’ve been, as far as I can see. But don’t do what we did and get complacent. From what I’ve seen, yer Pelosis and Franks and Obamas… I don’t know… there’s just something awfully familiar about that smell.

As an old-time TV bobby used to say here, back in the days when we still regarded policemen as guardians, rather than state enforcers: ‘mind how you go.’

Stoatie, that should hardly come as a suprise. During the reign of William of Clinton, the Democratic Socialists of America and their Progressive caucus hand puppets put out an instruction book on their web site telling Socialists to deny that they are Socialists, and demand to be called “Progressives” instead. They felt that the “Progressive” label was more condusive to moving their objective of overthrowing the Constitutional government of the US……….

Every paranoid thing that has ever been said about communists is true. As the man said, “We have seen the enemy and they are exactly who we thought they were” (or something like that).

On a higher note…I got my Zombie Reagan coffee mug today!!11!eleventy!!! 🙂

You know, QuasiModo, I used to raise a sceptical eyebrow at the ‘Great Communist Plot’ theory.

What a fool I was!

It’s not your fault, Uncle B…the schoolteachers downplay it and berate us for wrong thinking…turns out that that’s because they’re the front line, the scum.

We in the colonies are the second side of the coin. The marxists did the initial runs in the “old country” and applied the lessons learned here in the colonies. If our political classes hadn’t been so inbred, we might have resisted the spread of the blight. But there is hope in all of this, and that lies west of the Hudson…the land of of the bitter clingers. I personally plan to retreat to the Republic of Texas when the shit hits the fan.

The Left has been playing chess for 60+ years but unfortunately the Right has been playing tic-tac-toe.

Isn’t it funny how often those hysterical commie-obsessed witch-hunting fascists have turned out to be, y’know, precisely fucking correct?

Okay, maybe “funny” ain’t the word.

Heh. The first time I took an in-depth look at Soviet “active measures” I knew the United States and Europe had been heavily damaged during the cold war.

Indeed, the Left has been playing chess while the right has been playing tic-tac-toe, so we need to best their Chess game…and play a game of Go to their Chess. Or we can take Carl von Clausewitz’s example of cards being the closest game to war. Because we are at war with the left.

I believe, due to the nature of our ideas on the right we have no choice but to wage a war of attrition on the left. We need to slowly and painstakingly win our institutions back.

This is SO COOL: it’s a tiny thing size compar-o-meter. Drag the slider to the right. Got it from a tweet from Sockless Joe. It was a re-re-re-tweet. I’m still getting the hang of the etiquett of that.

I *love* this kind of visual aid thing. Well, I would, wouldn’t I?

Hey, that IS cool…it should go smaller than a carbon atom though and on down into string theory or something 🙂

I have often wondered that if communism was such a great idea why is it that it’s proponents have to impose it by the barrel of a gun, or put it in place through subterfuge? Oh, that’s right, people’s minds have been adled by religion and capitalist hegemony, so they have to do it that way.

What is always amazing to me is that Marx himself said his system requires capitalism to build the means of production. But, then we can do without capitalism after that. That’s the funny thing about lefties, their ideas can only work in a completely static environment. Then they wonder why a dynamic system just won’t hold still for them.

Maybe that’s why they keep trying. They’ve just never grasped that humans are dynamic and forever jostling along.

Yeah, that’s Weasel’s Unified Theory of Borders, Allen. You look at a border and judge which country is more desirable by which way the guard towers are facing. Do they shoot people trying to get in, or trying to get out?

Communists are hypocrits all. They preach communism, while the higher up they are in the pile, the more capitalistic they are. Greedy bastards.
All that wealth they piled up while millions perished, it’s
all still there and being enjoyed by their get.

Same thing happened in the US. The Communists set up the unions and the mob found a huge source of income and quickly took them over. Obama’s pals in the SEIU are the descendants of that effort.

Go on youtube and search for Yuri Bezmenov. He was a Soviet defector who did an interview back in the 1980’s in which he described this process of burrowing into the institutions.
